Y Neuadd / The Hall

Ddoe a heddiw  -  Then & Now

Mae'r bwa 'Truss' derw yn ganolbwynt i'r neuadd ac yn arwain y briodferch i'r bwrdd uno.

Safle seremoni yn unig yw Penarth Fawr ac mae'r neuadd yn eistedd hyd at 65 o bobl. Gyrrwch neges am wybodaeth pellach.

The great hall at Penarth Fawr was built circa 1415. It replaced a former wooden building built by one of the 5 main tribal families of Gwynedd, in the lineage of the intriguingly named Eifionydd leader and servant to the Welsh princes, Collwyn ap Tangno.

The main oak truss in the hall has been dendrochronolgically dated to the 15th Century. This is the structure that leads the bride to the ceremonial table.

Penarth Fawr is a ceremony only venue that sits a maximum of 65 guests. Please get in touch for further information. The venue is owned by a local Welsh family who pride themselves on making sure your day will be unforgettable.

Please note that Penarth Fawr is a registered Ancient Monument under the guardianship of CADW - certain restrictions therefore apply.
